No man (or woman) with free time is a Gentleman or Lady. Respectively. Now you may say, "But sir! Isn't fucking around on FuBar 'free time' and therefore an example of you breaking your own statute?" To this, I guffaw heartily, and pat you on the head with an orange in a sock, so as not to leave a bruise. A gentleman moves with PURPOSE. If he has "free time," he has set it aside on purpose. An abundance of purposeless time is the mark of a ruffian, a scalawag. The value of freedom is to choose to do something with it! What will you choose to do in your next moments of heretofore unalotted time? Comment with your projections.
When a gentleman sits down to write, he needs a few things in order to do a really smashing job of it. One, a chair. Without a chair, he cannot sit, not in any productive way, anyway. Two, he needs an audience. Simple probability dictates that at least ten souls will read this page between now and the end of the internet. Three, something to write about. Well then.
A rule of gentlemanliness. Write down some thoughts once in a while. Not every day, you lily-liver! Occasionally. When a gentleman acts he does so with purpose, and he needs to know where he is heading. Write something down, and, by golly, when some passing scalawag or hussy sees you afield and about your business, they will know that here is a gentleman who moves with conviction and is not to be trifled with.
Eventually, moving this way will come so naturally, you can forgo this entirely and strike out without any particular goals, like I did when writing this entry. Observe its majesty. But, for beginners, decide where you are going ahead of time and you cannot help but succeed. And, along the way, you will doubtless induce a sensation of thrilling magnetism to the nethers of many a lass or lad you encounter on your way. BUT! Do not misuse your newfound powers. That is another rule of gentlemanliness.
