Feeling lost and adrift on an ocean of problems and failures, let downs, failed attempts to try and be happy and find my place. One (me) never knows what to grab ahold of. Just because it "floats"...doesn't mean it's safe or that it was meant for "you". Most of the times the "things" I grabbed hold of were sharks that (at the time) seemed like a good idea but...so faced with the old "adage" SINK OR SWIM...I swam. But then along came you. A ship in the storm so..I took a rest on your "bough" not sure if this was my "saving vessel". I took a chance and decided to brave the waters once again. Then...my ship returned again. Only this time my ship was weary of me. Will he leave again? If I pull him up and accept him once more will he "jump ship" again? Does he like the rough waters? Has he gotten used to the never ending struggles he faces out there? But...you saw something in me that made you feel as if there was a chance that this man just might be special so...you pulled alongside him and asked "What are your intentions?" Do you not see that I care whether or not you drown? Searching my heart I knew that this was it! The ship I abandoned so long ago was "the one" I had longed for to come my way but...at the time didn't know it was my "saving vessel". So...once again I climb aboard. Safe! In every way. Safe! Now...me and my new ship, traveling through these rough waters (She) better off having me to guide her and (me) better off having her to hold me above water til we both find our "port" in the storm where we can together knowing that...without each other...everything else would be meaningless because without each other we wouldn't "at least" be heading in the right direction but...Now...we can see land on the horizon and the calming of the storm.
