**Mercy for an Angel**

Looking back on your innocent face
Never knowing the real time or place
Witnessing the silent tears
Wondering if you bere the fears
Millions came to hope and pray
That you would be found with a smile someday
But as the time passed day after day
The hope of joy faded away
Deep inside we all wondered why
Someone who loved you would simply deny
A little child that never did harm
And always revealed the sweetest charm


Once unknown and now the world holds you near
You became the beauty for all to cheer
But tragedy forced us to uphold your smile
A dark mystery of the unspoken child
Justice may have denied your care
your playfull ways will always be there

We know the guilty may roam so free
And this was never ment to be
the world stood in shock as the verdict was read
And wondered "is there justice for the dead"
A precious one should never die in vain
When many have loved and spoken her name

Did the heavens cry with tears of shame
As another would perish and be the blame
But it was never your fault and we all knew
You were a child with so much to do
And it was taken from you because of neglect
