TOM BRADY ‘95 Even if Tom Brady had not won two Super Bowls as quarterback of the Patriots; even if he had not been named MVP of those two wins, even if Tom had not been a star at the University of Michigan, he would have been selected to the Serra Hall of Fame. That's how good he was wearing a Padre uniform.Tom ranks in the top three in virtually every passing category of the Serra record. His career yardage mark of 3,514 yards is second, his 2,121 yards in his senior year is second, his 331 yards vs. Sacred Heart in 1994 is second. His 219 completions are third on the list, as are his 129 completions in a season. He is tied with Hall of Famer Jesse Freitas for most completions in a game with 22 and third in career touchdowns with 33. No wonder he was the team's MVP, all-league, all-county, all-Northern California, and Prep Football Report All-American! On the diamond, Tom was a two-year starter as a catcher. As a junior, he was a second team all-WCAL selection and was named to the first team in his senior year. He was also named to the all-county and all-CCS first teams. Widely regarded as the top defensive catcher in the area, Tom was drafted in the 18th round by the Montreal Expos. To cap off his senior year, Tom was the recipient of the Shea Award given annually to Serra's outstanding senior scholar athlete. He then accepted a scholarship to the University of Michigan. Tom redshirted his freshman year and then waited two seasons to become the starter. He set school records for most attempts (350) and completions (214) in a season. Also set records for attempts (56) and completions (31) in a game. Tom led the Wolverines to a win over Arkansas in the Citrus Bowl as a junior and to a dramatic victory over Alabama in the Orange Bowl. He was drafted in the 6th round by the Patriots in 2000. The rest is history! TOM BRADY

February 3, 2006 More Craziness: Will The Real Tom Brady Please Stand Up?Just yesterday, Bostonist shared an interesting tract about world history, the mafia, the domestication of zebras, and the Simpsons, which was posted as a comment to our site. No sooner had we finished sharing that enlightening tidbit, than we received in our inbox what purports to be a letter to U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales (or Gomzales, as his name is written elsewhere in the letter), complaining about some complicated, fraudulent scheme involving body doubles of Tom Brady and Bridget Moynahan. The author of the letter, Aurora Martinez (or Aurora Faye Brady, if you go by the name she uses for her yahoo e-mail address), claims to be married to Pats QB Tom Brady (in her words, "with whom I am acquainted to whom I married"). She explains that it is common practice when the Patriots travel for them to bring along several body doubles of "key players and family." She asserts that body doubles of Brady and his girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan, are using their lookalike status to do fraudulent interviews with network news programs and gain publicity. We'd summarize more, but the letter, which is reproduced after the jump, isn't that long and explains the whole dastardly conspiracy. Naturally, Bostonist makes no promises as to the truthfulness or authenticity of Martinez's letter. In fact, we strongly suspect it is entirely false, but that doesn't stop it from being awesome. Real journalists would, at the very least, call Ms. Martinez (she includes her number in the letter, and a reverse lookup tells us that the number really is connected to a woman by that name who lives in Boston), but Bostonist has a day job and we are reluctant to use our employer's phone to talk to crazy people. Instead, we leave it to you, dear readers, to get to the bottom of this intriguing mystery (provided AG Gomzales doesn't solve the problem first). Here is Aurora Martinez's stunning tell-all letter, exactly as she e-mailed it to us. Although Tom Brady's name is at the bottom, the letter was not signed. In an attachment, Martinez included pictures of Brady and Moynahan from numerous websites, which she claims prove her theory about the body doubles. She also sent this letter, puzzlingly, to entertainment site Star Pulse, Teen Scene Magazine, People Magazine, video game website IGN.com, online cheesy men's magazine AskMen.com, and MostBeautifulMan.com, a website that our work computer won't let us look at. Alberto Gonzales Attorney General U.S. Department of Justice 950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20530-0001 October 22, 2005 Dear Mr. Gomzales: We had spoken once before regarding fraud, identity theft and stalking. The clips above our photographs published either on internet websites or print materials for commercial distribution. The source of the original photograph is given as well as an approximate date of the event or of publication. With each publication it is asserted that the man in the photograph is Thomas Edward Brady Jr., a quarterback of the New England Patriots with whom I am acquainted to whom I married. You will note that despite the close proximity in dates, the distinct difference in physical appearance and ages between the men pictured it is asserted that they are the same man. You will notice the contrast between the man photographed in uniform during the football games following 09/08/05 who has played the entire games and the man photographed in the picture 07/31/05 at training camp at Gillette Stadium, the early preseason games in which the man pictured did not play, the visa commercial shot and the magazines and the other photos from entertainment events. You will also note that the men photographed during each of the press conferences and the actual player in uniform from the games as well as the other from the entertainment events also are different in physical appearance and appear to be different men. It has been asserted that the woman pictured in the photograph at the entertainment events is the actress Bridget Moynahan. The pictures illustrate the use of the same name and identity by two or more physically different women, all actresses who gained employment in motion pictures unlawfully through use of false or stolen information. You will note that the actor photographed in each instance with Bridget Moynahan has a different build and is blued eyed while the football player photographed at each game and some press conferences is green eyed. The woman pictured on 02/28/05 has recently moved into the residence next door, 293-5 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02115, lives with a blond woman who claims to be Anne Lee and is becoming verbally if not physically threatening following me everywhere even out of state when I attend away games. My concern is with the fraud and misrepresentation as well potential identity theft that has occurred. It would appear that the actor pictured with Bridget Moynahan is guilty of misrepresentation setting himself out to the public as the original football player and has profited economically from use of his identity both in gaining reputation and actual contracts to be photographed and interviewed for magazines. The woman pictured above as Bridget Moynahan also gains economically attaining roles in several films from the publicity and is not the same woman who originally used the identity Bridget Moynahan to gain contract as an actress in the film Coyote Ugly the earliest employment contract of record known. My concern is regarding the exploitation both the team owner and the media of the original Tom Brady. You will note that the picture of the Tom Brady with Bridget Moynahan dated 06/12/05 that was taken during the ceremony for the presentation of the Super Bowl rings to the New England Patriots at the owner Bob Kraft’s home which was published on several websites and in newspapers. The use of body doubles which identity theft and often leads to damage in reference to the reputations of the original athletes appears to have become a common practice in professional sports. Agreeing to the use of body doubles becomes a concession that athletes make simply to play professional sports. Attached is a profile of television and motion pictures appearances by the Thomas E Brady, Jr born on August 7, 1977 or so is claimed which indicates a use of identity to gain economic profit. You will note that the men photographed in most instances only resemble the football player photographed during the Patriots games but are not identical even given cosmetic changes such as weight gain and change in hair style and color. Each “actor” or body double is blue eyed for instance. With the Patriots team, there are typically three team buses at every away game each with body doubles of key players and family. The brown hair woman pictured in the snapshot from the 6/20/05 Red Sox game with Tom Brady is said to be his sister. Three women similar to her or body doubles typically ride the team bus. You will notice that the Tom Brady in the picture resembles the one from the picture with Donald Trump and the other entertainment events magazine articles but not the football player pictured at the games. These “body doubles” in term feel at ease in using the identity of the originals, the article in Deadspin in the attached file that are to the detriment of the original. The women pictured in the article are featured on the website “Desktop Strippers.” While the body double was elsewhere in New York and then later seen in Boston, the original was attending practice at Gillette Stadium and gave a press conference, the transcript of which is given in the attachment. Two other issues I have is that each broadcast network or newspaper affiliation using a specific body double for their photographs or their televised interviews and are guilty of fraud and misrepresentation as news sources. It might be of interest to request the footage of the ESPN Hollywood episode and the ESPN Sports Century episode of Tom Brady. Arguably the woman asserting herself as Bridget Moynahan in conjunction with the actors asserting themselves as Tom Brady Jr. are guilty of fraud and misrepresentation for unjust economic benefit and are thus have caused harm or injury depriving the original football player of reputation and economic opportunities (i.e. endorsements) and future employment. The women resembling Bridget Moynahan are beginning to attempt to use personal information of mine it presenting themselves to the media though I do not yet have physical evidence that fraud or identity theft has occurred. It would also be of value to compare footage from the actual games with film from the press conferences and the internet sites and print publications. This would be particularly of value comparing materials from sources related sources and those gained from entertainment sources (i.e. Bravo for the Independent Spirit Awards in 2004, ESPY awards hosted by ESPN in 2002 and 2004, People magazine, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, Boston Herald). Tom and I would greatly appreciate your attention to the matter. I ask that should pursue further inquiry that individual assigned consult with me as there are other issues pertaining to stalking, breaking and entering, and harassment regarding some of the individuals involved at the local level which have neglected by the police. My home number is 617-***-****, me cellular 773-***-****. My email address is *********************@*********. Regards, Aurora Faye Martinez, Thomas Edward Brady, Jr.

Last year was a storybook season for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. This year, they begin the hard work of defending their title. It's a tall order but rising to the occasion is nothing new for Brady, a former sixth-round draft pick. Tom Brady doesn't wear his Super Bowl ring, but you know he'll be waving around that ESPY. Now the question is, does he have what it takes to handle 10 Burning Questions? Page 2's Eric Neel cornered him on a bus ride to the Playboy Mansion (Yeah, being a Super Bowl champion quarterback is hard work, ain't it?) and put him through the drill. 1. Page 2: What's the best thing that's different in your life since the Super Bowl win? Tom Brady: Wow, I would say the best thing is looking at the Super Bowl ring and thinking, man, I've been a part of a team that won it all. I'm a world champion. Do you wear the ring all the time? Brady: No, no, I've worn it once and then, actually, gave it to my dad. What's the worst difference in your life since the win? Brady: Things that used to take me five minutes now take me about 40. The grocery store, the post office ... you're trying to get 'em done quick. But now you get too much attention in those places? Brady: Yeah, and that's not a bad thing to have, and you appreciate it, but at the same time it gets to be ... if you let it, it can be pretty distracting. Mel Gibson, shown in "We were Soldiers," better start working on his throws. 2. How are the summer workouts going? Brady: The one thing about our team this year is guys don't mind working hard. The leaders of the team are there, setting the tone for the young guys and when the young guys see that, they want to be a part of it. They say, wow, this is what it takes to be good. 3. Is the feeling different than last summer and in what way? Brady: We're certainly more confident, you know. There's more of a swagger. But at the same time, you realize that if you lose that first game, everyone will say, look, this team's changed, they're not the same group. But I don't think our team will fall into that, I don't think our coach will let us. Is there less pressure this year? Brady: There's pressure from everyone, from your coaches, from your family, from the media, from your friends. I've always said that my expectations of myself were always pretty high, higher than anyone's ever given me credit for. When you win a Super Bowl, my feeling is wow, that's great, but I really kind of expected it, not in a bragging way ... so now the question is, what's next? Brady wants to talk shop at dinner with Joe Montana and a few other quarterbacks. 4. Did you take a lot of heat for the Sports Illustrated cover shot you did with your shirt off? Brady: Way, way too much heat. How did they persuade you to do it? Brady: I got suckered on that one pretty good. We played a round of golf and we were hanging out. I started feeling pretty comfortable, they were giving us food, my dad was sitting over there eating, and my buddies were over there eating. And the photographer says, "You know, I'm looking for a different shot, maybe we should try something different. Maybe you should take your shirt off." And I say, "What are you gonna show?" And he says, "oh, just your shoulders up," and I'm thinking, he's a professional, he knows what to do. So of course I did it and then I got in the car with my dad and said, "What an idiot I am, what am I doing?!" I knew exactly what they were going to do with it. 5. When did you guys, as a team, believe you could win it all? Brady: I think it was a couple of weeks into training camp. We knew we had something special. When we started out and barely lost to the Jets, and then we beat Indy big. And then we beat San Diego in a big comeback win, down 10 with seven minutes left in the fourth, and that's when we said, "We know what we're made of." Brady's a big fan of Hugh Hefner's body of work. 6. If they made a movie about the Patriots Super Bowl season, who would you want to play you? Brady: I've got to go with Mel Gibson, my favorite actor. "Braveheart," man, I love that. 7. If you could invite any three people to dinner tomorrow night, who would you invite and why? Brady: I have to pick my three idols: (Joe) Montana, (Steve) Young and (John) Elway. And (Dan) Marino for a fourth. We're gonna have dinner for five. 8. When you meet Hugh Hefner tonight, what are you going to say to him? Brady: "I love your work." 9. What is your favorite all-time sports movie? Brady: "Hoosiers." No question. 10. What's it like to be the most eligible bachelor in New England these days? Brady: Well, all the married guys on the team say, "If I were single ..." and they let me kind of finish the statement.
