DEAR GOD,

Thank you for all of the blessings you've given me and for those not yet received. Thank you also for the challenges and hardships as I know they are perfect parts of your wonderful plan.

I know we've just spent some intimate time together, but I had a few things on my mind that I wanted to share. You know my heart and You know what I'm seeking. I know You have a plan and all things will be done according to Your plan in Your time. Although I'm not privy to the timeline of this master plan, could I just mention that when You do send my soul mate to me that he reflects You? Since we're made in Your image and likeness, could he have Your attributes? Allow him to see me through his spiritual eyes and know that my intentions are honorable, good, and trustworthy. Assist him in hearing the sincerity of my words when I give him the attention he's been lacking from his previous relationships. Help him to know that his past does not define his future and if I'm a part of his life, then I'm destined to bring him closer to You. Give him the gift of understanding that I'm not perfect, but that You've been preparing me for him and I'm doing all I can to be the woman described in Proverbs 31.

Remember my past 20 years of dating that I've been through? Of course You do as You walked beside me and carried me when I needed it. Just a question. Was that penance for my sins? Seriously? I feel like every date I go on from this dating site is like knocking one more day off of purgatory when I die. After all of this suffering, do I get a "get into Heaven free" card? I already know the answer, but You also know my sense of humor.

Thanks, again, God for listening and walking by my side. You're the best friend any woman could possibly want.
