Hmmmmmmm I have an idea. Ever wanted to see how fast those blue vests in Wal-Mart could run? MWAHAHAHAHAHA I was in Wal-Mart one day with my power 'chair and one of the employees told me to slow down. I was like"Yeah right!" That really ticks me off that people treat us like we are contagious. What is really wrong is that if they actually acknowledge that we exist then they will have to admit that it could happen to them someday. All it takes is a simple slip in the shower or tripping over something. People think they are indestructable.
Yeah I know. People's ignorance really ticks me off. I was in Wal-Mart one day and this old guy come up and started talkin' to me. We were havin' a great conversation. He up and asks me if I was a Viet Nam vet and I told him no that I was born with spina bifida. All of a sudden he had someplace else to go. Hmmmm I dunno about that. You may beat the snot outta me. I'll give ya a head start just in case. LOL
I'm just your average nut with wheels on his butt. The way I look at it is that you can either turn a negative into a positive and make the best of it or you can just sit there and vegitate. People don't know how to take my sense of humor cuz a lot of people think that I'm not supposed to crack jokes about my situation. I love it when people give me weird looks when I race cars in store parking lots in my 'chair. They're goin' like 10 mph and I'm still keepin' up with 'em. LOL
