All 'idols' are an abomination to ABBA FATHER and 'idol' worship is a very serious sin. ABBA was specific about HIS views on 'idol' worship (http://www.openbible.info/topics/idol_worship) and we've been taught not to worship anyone and anything other than HIM for a very good reason. If we're to love anyone or anything more than HIM we weren't worthy of HIM. Does this mean we aren't to love one another? Of course not. What it refers to is that ABBA knows what is best for each one of us to assist us from sinning. HE created each one of us from HIS perfect love, and through that love we've been created for a specific purpose according to HIS perfect will and perfect plan. Therefore we should and need to trust HIM in everything and in all areas and aspects of our lives, leaning and relying on HIM for everything, our very breath, food, and water, even though we don't understand.

Proverbs 3:1-8 (NIRV), "My son, do not forget my teaching. Keep my commands in your heart. They will help you live for many years. They will bring you success. Don't let love and truth ever leave you. Tie them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will find favor and a good name in the eyes of God and people. Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways remember him. Then he will make your paths smooth and straight. Don't be wise in your own eyes. Have respect for the LORD and avoid evil. That will bring health to your body. It will make your bones strong."

If you're still unsure exactly what can become an 'idol', here are a few examples:
- a religious artifact/symbol for worship
- yourself
- any person (ie: spouse, parent, guardian, grandparent, sibling, relative, child, pets/animals, friend, neighbor, rival, enemy/foe, "famous" person (ie: entertainment, sports, political/religious leader, teacher, etc.)
- a profession/job, home/property/land, etc.
- any tangible item (ie: jewelry, toy (ie: childhood), appliance, vehicle, iPod, CD/DVD, PC, TV, radio, cell phone, etc.)

All things need to remain balanced. No one and nothing should be above our CREATOR, especially one another let alone anything else. Human standards and favoritism should be avoided at all costs.

In regard to the Law, it is written in Matthew 22:35-40,
"Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
