I'm a songwriter and a multi-insrumentalist who sets no limitations on musical composition.I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and began playing drums at the age of eleven. my family fully supported me in my noisy interests. My father even gave up a large portion of his prized workshop to accommodate my ever-expanding collection of musical gear. While many families may have feared the wrath of their neighbors, he encouraged the noise in the workshop despite the fact that the police were called out continuously by the uptight asshole out back. Laughing my way through jam bands, garage bands, cover bands and original material bands with genres including, punk, glam, jazz, fusion and over-indulgent guitar music, I found that what I really loved was good ol' feel-good rock & roll. It was then that I realized that music wasn't really about how well you could play or how fast you could move your fingers across a fretboard, it was about how good it felt to play it and to listen to it. All- melodic doesn't really sound melodic, just as all-heavy doesn't sound heavy. It's only when you find balance that those qualities become emphasizedand you can feel it. Thunder is most powerful when it crashes out of a silent sky if it were constant, it would only be more loud noise.
