Hi Everyone!

First of all I want to thank each and every one of my friends who took the time to create a birthday salute for me.  Yes it is for a great cause but it also made me feel very special and loved in honor of my special day.  It meant a lot to me that you made them for me and in my eyes you are all winners for that alone.  With 28 birthday contest salutes here plus one on facebook, that is a total of $58 in donations for the Kids' Help Phone, so thank you for your support for such a worthy organization.

The first set of contest winners are based solely on numbers and then I had a "guest judge" help out with a few other winners based on creativity.  I guess it is like figure skating in the Olympics... artistic scores vs. technical ones :)

I am first going to paste the final numbers so that everything is transparent... I would hate to be accused of cheating on my own contest :)  (Please note that while the person with the most comments did sometimes comment on her own photo, even without her own comments she was clearly ahead.)

Hi everyone and welcome to my birthday contest blog :)

My Chanukah salute contest was so much fun that I thought I would run another one for my upcoming birthday.

Here is some background info:  My birthday always sucks.  I have no issue with getting older as it is better than the alternative... but I am much more keen on celebrating other people's birthdays than my own and I find my own birthday terribly disappointing.  So... rather than dwell on it I want to do something helpful and that is why I am running this contest

I think this should be fun!

Here are the details:  

- This contest is open to EVERYONE.

- This is a SFW salute contest.

- The salute should include my screenname, yours, and some variation of you wishing me a Happy Birthday.  

- The contest will be judged by the people who rate and comment on the salutes that I will put in a special folder, to keep it fair and honest.  The top winners will receive a special prize from me.

- I will donate $2 (a Canadian toonie) to Kids' Help Phone for each and every salute entered just like last time.  http://org.kidshelpphone.ca/en is a link to tell you more about this very important organization here in Canada.

- The contest begins RIGHT NOW and the winner will receive a special prize from me on my birthday, February 17th.  The sooner your salute is added, the more time you have to get rates and comments :)
