Who Am I?:
(Chapter 1, Page 1) Creative, talented, responsive, reasonably attractive, physically fit, and acutely "modest"... In a perfect world, that's how I want to be characterized. In the real world, I'm an everyday person who has had the opportunity to experience an array of life events. I've lived to learn from some and others, I've simply learned to live with.

My interests include, but are not limited to:
Guitar since age 15; I enjoy Karoke, and am told that Willy Nelson sounds alot like me; my music listening varies by mood and; I enjoy AM radio talk shows such as Cisco the garden guru, the guy who tries to be the legal expert, the mutual fund salesman and, good old what's her name that knows everything about computers. I'm a crossword puzzleaholic and can complete the Sunday New York Times usually before the next one comes out. I enjoy watching NFL games on TV but, don't ask me who won the super bowl last year. The last five minutes of a NASCAR race is perfect but, three hours of continual left turns is boring.

In the last 2 years I have cruised in Hawaii and Mexico, been taken to the cleaners in Las Vegas and, taken road trips to Yellowstone and the Redwoods; I have learned the names of most northwest indiginous plants; I contribute to my eventual retirement by collecting state quarters and presidential dollars and, firmly believe that a quarter saved today will be worth about ten cents when I finally spend it.

Like anyone else, I'm a product of life experiences. I was raised in the Puget Sound area of Washington state and grew up as a newspaper boy, a landscaper, a Sears retail slave, and an entrepreneur from the beginning. I faked my way through high school, learned to play the guitar, had my first experience with "everlasting" love, and managed to get through the Viet Nam era. I graduated from The Evergreen State College with a degree in something I know nothing about today but, I did learn how to learn.

I moved to Alaska and built log homes for 6 years, became a general contractor, and a businessman. I couldn't tolerate the seasons, so I came home and continued building log homes for 7 more years. I moved to Wenatchee, to become a perishable commodities broker. Eight years later I moved to Mesa AZ, and successfully completed my mid life crisis. I then moved on to Santa Cruz CA and spent a couple of years remodeling a beach front hotel and to the best of my ability pretended to surf.

Finally, I returned home again and started another construction company. In order to relax, I had a minor stroke and then recuperated. I moved on. I've developed a strong foundation of reality. I own every tool known to man kind, and I am used to a woman professing her eternal love in exchange for a new kitchen, bathroom, deck, and even a some things that are truly important.

Today, I am ready to begin a new life adventure. If you are curious, you only need ask. I want to find a person who possesses the patience to read through this essay, finds we have at least some common interests, perhaps similar experiences and, hopefully a good nature, humor, ethic, intelligence, and a positive spirit. In the past I have gotten along well with complete opposites but, that was then and we all move on. I've learned ... that I'm really not totally clear about the thing's I've learned.

Today, let's find common ground. I have not yet done the red convertible with 12 gold chains around my neck so,if you can perform an intervention on that one, my friends, family and, society in general will be forever grateful.

If you want someone who still thinks young, is funny, can cook and likes being frisky? Problem solved; I can do 75%.

Life's journey is not to to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting
HOLY SH!T... WHAT A RIDE!
