was born in a small, small town which I am hoping to escape pretty soon! The first question I usually get is "what happened to you?" Well, let me tell ya! When I was 16, I was driving along with some friends, and one of them decided to be funny and grab the wheel. I lost control, hit a ditch, and was thrown out of the car. I was flown from my town, to the UNC Burn Center, I had 3rd and 4th degree contact burns. If you get queasy, skip ahead. I had my nose burned off, my forehead burned down to the bone, my lips burned off, etc. Only on the right side-middle part of my face was affected.Plastic/reconstructive surgery is amazing! Thanks to my wonderful doctor, he has gotten me to look better in the past 5 years. I still have surgeries to go through, and I will have them for some time, but I'm lucky to be alive and am so happy about that!! I'll always have scars but I refused to be depressed about it! And when asked if I would go through it all again, I usually say yes, because going through this ordeal has made me a stronger, more caring person. I'm the most positive that I've ever been, and I wouldn't change that for anything! I had rather laugh than cry, and because of that, I'm living my life like any 22 year old should be!!Anything else you want to know, feel free to ask!!!
