To know a little which I am :ENZ 岸泽Art Wuxing ENZ 岸泽 : 佛拉芒-玫瑰惊喜 __ 海洋 小艇Interview of Enz for the Chinese public1/ Is Enz a pseudonym?- While being Wuxing I chose this name in 1978 for phonetic reasons. It sounds like an object being thrown into space. I used to live in Anwerp and I noticed that in Dutch this word was the abreviation of et cetera which with regards to my different life-styles suited me very well. 2/ Why Wuxing Art?- In 1974, I read Essay on Zen Buddhism by the Japanese writer Daisetz Teitaro Susuki and I realised that the state that I had inwardly reached had already been a concept to Chinese Zen patriarchs for centuries. This concept was called Wuxing. : Japanese Mushin. Enz is an anagram of Zen as well. This is why I have chosen to be called Enz with my Wuxing Art.3/ What does Wuxing mean? - I encourage you to look at the book written by Daisetz Tertaro Suzuki and his essays on Zen Buddhism. For him the term literally means “non-mental” or “no-thought” which otherwise can be stated as: “to be cleared of mental attachment”. However, to realise that Wuxing in is the ultimate way to set yourself free, you have to experience it. It is not enough to learn it intellectually.4/ Is your approach a religious one or at least a spiritual one?- What is generally meant by spiritual seems to be too vague and tied to belief and a priori assumption as well. I prefer to say that I simply am speaking of intelligence and being. Though could my approach be considered as a part of what is called by others the paranormal, a modified state of the understanding. In fact I would prefer the “tachyonic elsewhere”, a word written by Einstein beyond the cone of light and the absolute border of our universe. Nevertheless is my approach really different because even this “elsewhere” is a part of what is called by Buddhists Mâyâ which means Illusion. But what does this really mean? There no point in trying to understand it intellectually. You have to grasp it by its own fulfilment.5/ What do you mean by “beyond the border of our universe”?- We have to understand the way we appreciate the finite, what we really mean by this. The infinity with regard to our finite, to our space-time just the way it is meant by astrophysicist? Regarding the cosmos the astrophysicist Andreï Linde says that universes are like a set of Russian dolls (matriochkas). As far as the French astrophysicist Laurent Nottale is concerned it is “multiverse” or parallel universes. The most daring former metaphysics is merged by the advanced scientific data of today following the way of quantum mechanics, like theory of the cords.6/ Which is the link between this answer and Wuxing Art?- You just have to find out by yourself.7/ Do you have anything to add?- For Jung and the analytic psychology Wuxing is having achieved the Self through the inner or existential Odyssey which is called “individuation”. As far as alchemists are concerned the philosopher’s stone can be found as a pure jewel after destruction, death and rebirth through the crucibles of transition from rough to subtle up to the stone.8/ Do quotations of Suzuki’s books show your interest for the eastern culture?- I have got a deep-rooted connection with everything in touch with China.
