Nearly dying from Covid is what really ignited my passion for Westerns and Western Frontier History.I started with the game Red Dead Redemption 2 and the movie Tombstone.My collection of knowledge and merchandise has grown at an exponential rate ever since. I guess it could be said that I am romanticizing my near death experience. While at the height of my illness I could barely walk up one stair without losing my breath.Each night I would wake suddenly from spastic lung fits that would lock up my entire chest. I was a dead man but I didn't die; fear and adrenaline kept me alive.I was never hospitalized but I came close to it.
