I am an optimist. I enjoy my life. I dont mind being alone. I can entertain myself for hours. I love being with my friends. I love the dried flowers on my wall, and the way my dogs follow me around the house and sit near me whereever I am. I love caller ID. I like people who make me think. I can think with both sides of my brain. I dont fit a box and I believe it would be rather boring in a box. I like colors and fabrics. I like to run my hands over everything I see. I love tattoos (on guys they are really HOT, hehe). I have two celtic ones and I will probably end up with more. I like people who have tattoos. They are often way cooler then non-tattoo'd people :-PI love traveling. I have been to (at least driven through) the 48 states. I have been to Canada, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Chile, and most recently Taiwan. I love learning about other cultures, their religions and habits. I love latino culture best of all so far. I love the way they are so open and honest and friendly. I love the way they dont have this personal-space bubble that Americans do. I love the way that people will be casually touching you even when they just first meet you. I hope to travel a lot more in the future. I dont have any vacation planned yet this year but I have three weeks to use... any ideas? :-)Anything to do with animals has my heart. Eventually someday I will be raising dogs- as a hobby or career I havent decided. I had three finchs- but one day Gremlin went beserk and killed the other two. I have two shelter-dogs; Keeley and Sophie. I've had Keeley for over a year now and she is the dominant one of the family. She is aloof with most people, but very attached and protective of me. Sophie is my sweet little baby. I recently got two rats. One white and one brown named Quixotic and Templeton respectively. They are adorable! Interests
Movies: Anything besides drama or war movies. I enjoy comedy, but not as much as action/suspense. Romances are good too, but I think most girls would say that...
Television: I watch a lot of HGTV and TLC. I probaly know more about home decorating then anyone on the planet, Lol There are only a few other shows that I watch regularly (Everybody Loves Raymond, Family Guy, American Dad, American Idol, House, America's Next Top Model, and Bones). And, House/American Idol are the only shows I plan my week around. Tuesday nights I watch TV. I am not available to do anything else...
Books: Here are some authors I really enjoy: JK Rawling, Laurill K. Hamilton, J.D. Robb, Nora Roberts, John Grisham, Dean Koontz, Robin Cook, Stephen King, David Baldacci, Dan Brown and Shirley Rouseau Murphy.
Music
Musicwise I can listen to about anything as long as it isnt screaming at me at high volumes. I am not one of these people who can only listen to one genre. If I am alone the radio station is tuned to a pop/hip hop channel or often even country. But, when with others I have been known to get into anything from classic rock, to 80's, to jazz and classical. I dont have a extensive collection, But, the CD's currently in my car are Anna Nalick, Alannis Morrissette, Jim Croce, Jimmy Buffet, JoDee Messinna, Shakira, Norah Jones, and Ween. Jimmy Buffet is one of the few musicians I would pay to see in concert. Oh, ammendment, I can't stand heavy metal, punk, death metal, or anything of that ilk. Thats not music, its noise. If I want a headache I will go sit at a construction site all day.
Video Games
I am not a gamer. I have never been a gamer. And, after my recent experiences and my friends previous (and current) experiences, I will never date a gamer again. I prefer to be with men... and when a male has an obsession with video games it ALWAYS is to be a strong indicator of boyness. Grow up. Its called maturity, people- its a big turn on, Lol.
