TORONTO — Twelve people, many in full zombie makeup, were taken to hospital Tuesday morning after several actors fell from a raised platform on a Toronto movie set for the film Resident Evil: Retribution. Two individuals had to be taken away on back boards, but according to a Toronto Emergency Medical Services spokesman none of the injuries was life threatening. While filming the fifth instalment of the Resident Evil series, the unnamed actors were up on two platforms, sacs louis vuitton one of which was on wheels. Police spokeswoman Wendy Drummond said when the actors transferred from one platform to the other, the wheeled platform moved and then collapsed, sending the zombie-clad actors to the ground. Ten of the actors were taken to hospital in a Toronto EMS bus, usually deployed when there are multiple injuries reported, while two others with more serious back injuries had to be taken away on back boards because of the serious back injuries they received. Some of the paramedics may have been surprised when they showed up to the scene to find some of the injured actors made up as the undead. "They knew they were going to a movie set, they're familiar with that area, they didn't know what kind of movie they were on. I can certainly picture the face of the first paramedic arriving there with all this moulage makeup," Toronto EMS spokesman Peter Macintyre said. According to Macintyre, while the makeup may have been a surprise it didn't hinder paramedics from finding out who was injured, and who was only playing undead. "It's not anything that a professional paramedic hasn't done before," he said. Resident Evil: Retribution is the fifth of the horror series based on the video game. The film is expected to be released in May 2012. Officials at Cinespace Film Studios, where the accident took place, said they could not release information on the incident.
