Interests are tricky. For me they are ever changing.. but my kids and writing poems will always remain.
Here are two which I have already written. (One has been published already.)

~The Black Rose~
No one ever really listens to what the
black rose is trying to say,
Many people think that to get black roses
it means they are unwanted and unloved.
For those that cannot see it`s real meaning
this is what I wish to say...
The Black Rose is immortalized, It can never
die.
While you look upon it`s bloody red sister
remember that it will only last but a day.
If you wish to give me red roses,
Remember I will turn them away.
While I look upon the roses, I shall smile
and say..
A red rose is forever, but a black rose is for
an eternity.

~Lost Love~ (Published)
Your name is like a winged dove
that carries my mind away,
Your lips are like the hottest flame
upon the touch of mine.
Your hands and fingers
always seem to know all the right times
for them to touch me,
Your eyes always find mine.
However, for now our hearts have parted
but they still remain as one.
You will always have your life of ships and sea,
As I will always have mine lonesome and free.
If the joining of our hearts and bodies were meant to be
then to you I say:
It is not the end for endings only come in Death,
So I shall see the keeper of my heart
in my dreams and in the future,
But for now I fare him well.
