It's 9 o'clock on a saturday (actually it's a tuesday i just like making son references) and I figured I'd actually write one of these. Let's start wiiith my name, I'm Matt (aka Matt Dail for President, Raph, the lubricator, and several others i can't think of, i don't know where most of em came from)I see humor in everything. I also see every hardship as an opportunity to learn something new. I've faced alot of loss in my life, even when i was younger. My parents divorced when I was 5, my grandmother lived with us and became my mother the way I see it. During school i was always very shy, and never had many freinds. My dad remarried, and I moved from West Virginia when I was 6 to Georgia. My dad divorce and remarried, and I moved from Georgia to California when I was 10. Then for once in my life. I found freinds. Honest to god freinds, and I felt I belonged somewhere. That was when i was 12, then at age 13 we found out my grandmother had cancer. They gave her 1 to 6 months. She died in two weeks. While all of the freinds I made in middle school went to Santiago High, I went to Corona High. Once again I was freindless, and for the first time, motherless. I had always thought she'd at least live until I was out of high school, but that's life i suppose. I made new freinds by end of my junior year, and had a very close group of freinds my last year in school. And after graduating, 6 months passed by. And I moved to Alabama. I've only been living here about 5 months thus far.I'm not asking for your pity, just telling you where how I've developed into who I am. As sad as it all sounds, it's made me stronger. It's developed one of the biggest parts of my character. I need to no one to survive. As long as I'm breathing, things can't be that bad as far as I'm concerned.I don't beleive in organized religion. I feel it's been corrupted since we gave "holy men" power. You could say I'm religous, even though I refuse to give my creeds and beleifs a title. Titles lead to labels, labels leads to judgement, judgement leads to prejudice, prejudice leads to pursecution. But if you must put me in category, I'm closest to buddhist.Which brings me to another fact about me. I'm the most anti-prejudice person you will ever meet. Probably because I was a loner in my child hood, being looked at as just a strange quiet geek. The only people that I really have a problem with are the overtly prejudice, and overly religous types (the ones that feel I don't deserve to vote because I'm not christian, or think that gays shouldn't have rights, or think that we should teach religion in schools, etc.)If I don't like you, you'll probably never know. I beleive it's better to remain silent than say something hateful. The only way you'll provoke me is through my freinds (I think that's because I had so few as a kid too) If you tangle with my freinds, you tangle with me.I'm kind of quiet at first, but once you're my freind, I'm a very loyal freind. If you need someone to talk to you at 3AM because somethings keeping you awake, I'll be there if you call. If you broke your leg, I'd drive you around town if you needed it. If you were getting beat in an alley by 10 guys at once, I'd run in knowing I'd get my ass kicked just out of prinicipl. But before the 4th guy took me down, I'd give'em hell.I'm going to get trained as a fire fighter in the near future because I like to help people, and that's pretty much it before it turns into a novel. You know where I came from, you know what I'm about, you know where I'm going, and I'll see you when I get there.
