1. Last night Doomascus played a battle of the bands. I don't know who the judges were, but they were so harsh it was overly harsh. It was like they were all that Simon dude from American Idol. However, it was a lot of fun. Those dudes are some of the best people I have ever met. It was great hanging with Chris, Justin (and their ladies), Corey/Master/C & B Maximus, and even that Mike fellow who seemed pretty cool and funny. We did meet some nice people in West Virginia, and we also met quite a few unfriendly bands. Apparently our pants were not tight enough for some of them. We love all bands, regardless of pant tightness...but no hard feelings I suppose.
2. I just lost a very important person to me. They didn't die, but to me did something unforgivable...at least for now. She probably doesn't even realize what she is losing, and may not even care. It has been tearing me up this last week...and thanks to new friends like Jessi, and old friends...like the other Jessi from Dayton...I have been cheered up multiple times. Plus my buds listen to me as I vent to them. blah blah blah. I am a douche.
3. My appartment is a mess. I really have to clean it today...which sucks. I also need to scoop my yard...since all the snow melted there is dog poop by the masses. It is so well fertalized. If I was gonna grom crops in my yard I would leave them be, but I am not a farmer...so I will waste all that poop and scoop it !
4. I Talk to my sister more than ever now. We play Gears of War 2 online together and kill people. It is in my top 3 things to do. How cool is it I have a 26 year old sister that will play Gears of War!?!?!?!
5. My other 2 fave things to do are play music and laugh. Number 4 is make sweet love down by the fire. Actually depending on the strenght of the fire and the quality of the love making...number four can easily sneak it's way to the number 1 spot. Eating sushi is close to all those too. Number 5 is undoubtably frisby golf. Just kidding, I don't think I have ever even played frisby golf. On paper it sounds retarded, but I have been assure by Wayne Lantz Dance that it is indeed a fun time.
6. Defying Sparks lost our singer. She was also a good friend. That is 2 good friends I lost...actually 3 counting her brother. All of this within the past few weeks. I must say this situation can't really be dabbled in to, but I do miss Chrissy, and I wish she was still singing for us. Look forward to this band though, it is something original (at least for this day and age, it is about as original as you can get). I get to play my true love, which is bass guitar. These are some of the best bass lines I ever wrote I think. Not so much the level of how hard to play the, (cause I don't know if they are hard to play or not!>!>!>>!!?!?!?), but I just like what I wrote and how it sounds. I must give credit to Drew P Johnson, because if it wasn't for some of those bizarre, bad ass guitar parts he writes...some of these basslines would have never been writen. And what really kicks as, is when Brandon Kickstartmyheart Long adds a phat drum part. (NOTE: I never us the word phat).
7. Believe it or not, Chase Duncan and I have become friends again. He was the other singer in Don't Be Alarmed, he is also the lead guitarist for Krynos. Another crazy thing is Krynos actaully gave me a chance to try out for the band. Pretty unexpected. It was pretty cool of them. They are well liked by many and have a good following. I debated on joining for a week or two. I was trying to figure out if I could be in all 3 bands, and it just wasn't in the cards. If it wasn't for Doomascus and Defying Sparks...my life would be so empty. My bands are mostly all I have, and I need something to look forward to. To be in Krynos and go the direction I believe they are wanting to go, it would take lots of time and devotion, and I can't leave my other 2 bands. I love them.
8. I miss my upright bass. I will buy one again some day.
9. I do not have a bath tub in my appartment. I have the good ole shower only...I hate it. Baths make me feel good when I am down. I use bubbles too. I am not as manly as I should be when it comes to some things. I NEED A BUBBLE BATH!
10. Almost a year of being single. woot woot...pooooooo
