As you may or may not know, October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In January, I was brutally beaten for two days in which my ex broke my back. He is now in prison for nine years!
Anyway, I was asked by the Prosecutor and Victim's Advocate in my county to speak at an Awareness Rally about what happened, since my case shook the very small town I live in.
Problem is, I am torn. I don't know if I really would feel comfortable doing so. I can talk to friends about what happened, but going in to detail in front of 100's of people you don't know is something else.
Should I go through with it, or should I tell them that this year is still too early for me to do this.
