Is it me or did the gym suddenly become a fashion competition and a social club?
Now I realize this didn't happen overnight, but last night I was at the gym and everyone, I mean everyone was wearing matching gear except me.
I go to the gym to workout and work on my physical endurance. Everyone else seems to think it's "social hour" or something.
I'm paying good money I want to workout and get at the equipment and then go home. I was on the Stairmaster and the 3 machines next to me were occuppied, but they were all there gabbing with each other. Went to the Lateral pullbar and same thing. Everyone was talking instead of working out. They were wearing coordinated outfits and I'm there in shorts & a t-shirt nothing close to matching and just working out.
So is the gym the new "meeting" place? |
