i wrote this a number of years ago for my father.
They said it gets easier with time, they lied to me.
Im having a rough time right now, I think of you everyday more and more.
The pain was numbed by the memories, but now the numbness is gone and the pain has returned.
I've heard it all, "Only the good die young", but why did they take you away from me when I needed you the most.
And the part that hurts the most, is that I never got the chance to tell you that I love you, I never got to say goodbye.
I hide my pain and sorrow from everyone, they can't tell Im hurting.
If I could have only one wish, it would be to see you again so I can tell you, I love you and I miss you.
