What are you waiting for?

All my life, I knew I was destined for more- More love, more happiness, more joy. While I could always find my happy moments, Love seemed to elude me. No matter how much I poured myself Into the chances to find true love, Regardless of who I tried to love, I always seemed to end up broken hearted. I would sit outside at night looking at the stars, Wondering if somewhere, somehow, My soulmate was gazing on the same night sky. But you get lonely wishing on stars. I’d always ask why not me, wonder what it was, Try to understand what I was doing wrong, Why I didn’t deserve to find true love, What was keeping me from my happily ever after. I had a life full of questions without answers Until one fateful day, My eyes met yours in a gaze I’ll never forget, How I finally understood what I never had before. Why none of the others has never worked out, Why I couldn’t find the love I truly wanted… Because in that moment, I knew It was always meant to be you. Every broken road led me to you, Each broken heart was preparing me for you, All the loneliness was to help me know The love that I found in you. So as you take my hand in yours, Our souls locked in love’s embrace, I lose myself in the moment that i had long awaited.. When I found the reason I had never settled.. Because I was always meant to be loved by you.

Exhausted

At Last Exhausted

You are dust. You are embers. You are walking around so bone-tired and world-wearied, it’s like one big raw nerve ending screaming out every time someone carelessly bumps into you. You are burned out, there is no question. But what you’ve realized is that the burn didn’t make you any harder on the outside like you thought it would.
Instead, you have been reduced to this brittle, fragile, ashes-to-ashes version of yourself. You have run so far for so long, trying to achieve your way into worth, that you are completely spent. Consumed. Exhausted. Finished. You’re doing everything you can to hold it all together, but every day these little pieces of you keep flying away. Pieces you know you can never get back. It’s gotten to where you feel like at the slightest push, the slightest gentle breeze, you might just disappear altogether.
Dust on the wind. Breathless and at last exhausted.
You feel more than hear Jesus’s words: Come to Me. But how can you take any more steps? I will give you rest. Can this promise be true—for you, today? Is it possible no more steps are needed, just a laying down of your head, a sigh?
You have finally had enough. You are ready to trade all this striving, achieving, and performing, caught in an endless pursuit of gold stars and outward success. You are finally starting to realize that maybe there is no amount of more that will ever keep you from feeling less-than.
Are you right in the middle of your own doubled-over-at-the-pain-of-a-lifetime-spent-proving moment? Do you wish for nothing more than to curl up in surrender and rest your face on the cool, hard ground? Have you tired yourself out yet only to end up back where you started? Have you gone hard enough and long enough that you are at last exhausted?
Are you ready to stop all this running from your own story yet?
Good. Now the real work can begin.
God, thank you that you call us not to achieve but to rest, not to prove ourselves but to embrace the identity you have already given us. Help us to have eyes to see ourselves the way that you see us, Lord. Amen.

A very sad day!!

On May 24, 2022, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, United States, killing 21 people including 19 children. Earlier that day, he shot and wounded his grandmother. He also wounded about 15 children and a police officer before being killed.
My heart hurts so bad. It is not ok. Our children need us. Our families need us. Mental health issues increasing, murder, rage, injustice! It has to stop.
It's time to stand up and say "NO MORE!" Fight for our families. We're the only ones who can.
Today, hold your family close. Today, love your neighbor. Today, put aside the hate. Today, we must fight to protect our children! Today, we must turn aside our differences and never forget the senseless deaths that are occurring every single day. There is a war on the family unit. A war on our children! A war on innocent people not bothering anyone, just living their lives.
It’s not ok. Please, love anyone you come in contact with today. This has to stop. Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus!

ITS GOT TO STOP!!!

Yes,
You are strong enough to survive this.
I know it seems like your world is over and maybe you can’t find the light right now, but hang in there.
I know your soul is weary and you feel like you can’t keep going, but don’t stop.
Your happiness may seem so far away, but it’s not as far as you might think.
Yes, the nights can be long and you don’t have any answers, but you don’t have to.
Breathe.
Take a moment and remember what all you’ve survived before now.
You’ve been through the fire and always found your way..your courage has been forged in the fire that tried to take you down.
Remember that- you’re a warrior who will continue to rise again.
It’s time to find your magic again and listen to your heart.
It knows the way, but you’ve gotten so weary that you’ve lost the path.
If you’ve lost faith in yourself and your strength is waning, know that you’re not alone.
You’re loved, you’re enough and I believe in you.
It’s always darkest before dawn and this is your time to start again.
Every end is a new beginning and your next chapter will be magical..
You just have to start believing in you like I do.
Like all the people in your life do.
I know you’re reading this and wondering how you’ll make it through this, but I’m telling you..
You got this.
You are meant for more than to simply fizzle out like a dampened flicker of light.
You’re a wildfire capable of setting your soul and life on fire again.
Take my hand and let’s start climbing out of the darkness, day by day.
I know you’ve been looking for a sign, something to believe in..
Well, this is it.
Today is your wake up call and this is where you start again- you’re strong enough and you’re worth it.
It won’t be easy and it won’t be fast, but it will change your life if you’re ready.
These words were meant for you.
Are you ready to start again?
Believe, darlin..in you, your destiny and most of all, in that you are meant for more.
Beginning today..get up, step up and start remembering the magic and dreams you lost along the way.
Anything’s possible if you just believe..
And I believe in you.
