wow, where to begin.....i have something that needs to be said, and i think that i'm finally ready to come out of the closet. i am a self injurer. i cut myself when i am angry, upset, sad, or scared. i have done this since i was 16. my arms, legs, stomache, and chest are all scarred up, and they will never go away. i haven't cut since august of 2006 though, and that is tremendous progress for me. i am very proud of it. i have learned different ways to vent. now, when i can afford it, i get tattoos or piercings. or i just sit and cry. i'm not putting this on here for sympathy, i don't need it, i just want to raise awareness for all of those out there who are still "in the closet" and let them know that stopping is a very real possibility. it's not easy, but it can be done. i know that this will scare most ppl away, but i really don't care any more. we are real ppl too, we have feelings and needs also. and by no means am i proud of it, as a matter of fact i think that i'm ashamed of it, but i finally realize that i can help other cutters by making it known to the world. if u have n e questions feel free to ask, and i will answer them to the best of my ability. i'm still a "normal" person, just a little misunderstood is all.
