A main arguement for not allowing people to be openly homosexual in the military is that it will be bad for good order and discipline, reducing the efficiancy of the Military.
So basicly we have to do whatever causes the least trouble. If people who supported people being able to be openly homosexual created a discipline problem because of the policy against it bigger than the percieved problem that it would cause people to be openly homosexual, what would happen?
It seems by having a policy, and defending it by saying people would cause dissorder if it wasn't there, the lesson is get mad, and create dissorder, or threaten to, and get rewarded for it. While the people who have more discipline, not makeing a fuss over things, are getting punished cuz they aren't makeing a fuss, and causing dissorder. |
