| It seems to me the older I get, the more we are pampering our kids. We never had to wear helmets or kneepads when on a bike. Honnor roll was only for straight A students. And we kept score in all games (baseball, soccer, whatever). My question is, are we setting children up to fail because we are giving them a false sense of the world by letting them think that being 2nd best is ok or is it correct at an early age to focus strictly on feeling good? |
