Fasten your seatbelts its going to be an ignorantly bumpy ride!!
Here in New Orleans we have had yet anotherpolitician plead guilty to a corruption indictment. he resigned his position as Councilman at Large today.
According to the city charter, the city council must appoint his interm replacement. When asked if race would play as a deciding factor in picking his replacement, the Council President said "YES".
How in 2007 can race still be an issue? How can we attempt to rebuild our city if we can't overcome such a dividing issue as race? I thought ability, integrity, character, experience, and personal fortitude would be the deciding factors. Label me ignorant, I never considered race.
So other than the fact that New Orleans seems to be ASS BACKWARDS, and lost in the 1940's. Do you think race should matter?
