Hey my name is lauren I really don't have much to say about myself so yea if u wanna no more talk to me!!! I am madley in love with my man stamoself can't wait till next summer to get married we have a beautiful baby girl together and she is the sweetest lil thing you will ever see!!! I just recentally lost my grandfather to cancer and that put a tole on my life. I loved him to death and I can't wait to see him again!!!

GARNETT ‹ Jerry Wayne Tate Sr., 61, of Garnett died Sunday, July 29, 2007.

He was born Nov. 5, 1945, in Coffeyville to Otis and Verlie (Wedell) Tate. He graduated from Coffeyville High School in 1963.

Mr. Tate worked as an engineer for the Missouri Pacific Railroad from 1967 to 2005. He served in the National Guard.

He was married to Patricia Ann Morrison on Oct. 16, 1965, in Coffeyville. They divorced in March 1988. He married Linda Ann Johnson on April 11, 1989. They divorced in 1994. He remarried Patricia Ann Tate on June 2, 2007, in Olathe. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Jerry Tate and Bryan Tate, both of Garnett; two daughters, Tanya Veenstra of Edna and Susan Tate of Joplin; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three sisters, Coleen Brinker of Wann, Okla., Dorthy Fultz of Altamont and Deloris Benett of Conway, Ark.; and two brothers, Bill Tate of Parsons and Dallas Tate of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie. Visitation will follow.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Kansas.
