Dying Regret is an established metal band from the San Diego area. We
have recorded our debut EP/CD with an industry professional producer,
and are in the process of trying to take this project to the professional
level. Our current sound has influences from bands such as Killswitch
Engage, In Flames, Lamb of God, All That Remains, Chimaira, and the like.
We want to create heavy, driving music that pummels the listener, but
still retains some level of groove and listenability.
We are searching for a vocalist who:
- can deliver powerful but intelligible vocals in a variety of styles,
from straight up singing, through gravelly/edgy vocals, and including
cookie monster/growls/screams
- has serious stage experience, stage presence, and can work a crowd
- can write memorable, catchy lyrics and melody lines
- can provide his/her share of the money, effort, and energy needed to
take a band to a professional level
- is looking for a long term project
- works well with others...bandmates, promoters, industry professionals, etc.
- wants to pursue a music career in an aggressive but professional manner...
frequent band practices and song writing sessions, gigs, promotional
appearances, etc.
We have:
- access to near professional level project recording setup for songwriting
- secure rehearsal space [rented]
- music industry contacts, support, and interest
- professional gear and attitudes
- an establishing fanbase, both online, locally, and worldwide
