I've been a Southern Baptist since the day I was born. I was the pianist and arranger for one of the largest churches in the United States. When I was having marital problems, they fired me, because they said "It doesn't look good for one of our staff members to be having marital problems.
So I haven't been in church for the last 6 years.
Some friends of mine have been telling me to try Buddhism. Not to worship Buddha, but because of their teachings regarding meditation.
So my question - Stay with Southern Baptist roots, stay out of church completely, or try Buddhism.
