When I look at "Scoob"'s art, two words come to mind.........Tortured Beauty. His brush strokes are poetic, and his figures are stunning, but in the midst of all that beauty he manages to capture all the elements of a tortured heart. It's a delight to behold and lends a real depth to his work that transcends both style and genre. It's hard to believe, after meeting the man, that such an unassuming, low key, and humorous guy could harbor so much pain as to draw forth these images from his mind, but if you look closely when his guard is down, you can clearly see a pain in his eyes. If Art is to suffer, then, thank you Scoob for enduring what you have endured, and showing us a beauty where we may not have seeen one before.
