I live in the Phoenix Metro Area of Arizona (yeah I'm a desert rat). I love our weather here specially the summer thunderstorms. I work in construction as a commercial / industrial electrician. Some of the major construction projects I've worked on include: Phoenix City Hall, Mariners Spring Training Facility, Intel Fab 12 in Alberquerque, NM and the Allied Signal Aircraft Engine plant in Tempe, AZ.

I've been an electrician since 1985. I first became interested in it when I was nailing off sheets of drywall for some drywaller friends of mine. I saw these guys who were not doing much of anything, were relatively
clean and had tool belts full of tools on. I asked my friends who these guys were and the replied, "those are the f@#king electricians." I said, "That's what I want to do!!"

In 2002, I was not working and decided to look into selling on Ebay. After doing some research, I decided that jewelry looked like something I might want to try selling. I found a deal on K-Mart/Wal-Mart bulk returned costume jewelry, 1200 pieces for $125.00. I started selling this on Ebay and did quite well. I soon moved into selling Sterling Silver jewelry and opened a booth at a local indoor swapmart. I started with a 10'x 10' booth selling just jewelry. I did very well and soon found that jewelry was a little seasonal so expanded into new and used hand and power tools as well. I tripled my store size to 10' x 30'. I soon was making as much as I did as an electrician but was only working 3 days a week. Unfortunately the sales dropped off towards the end of 2007 so I ended up closing the store.
