Thelma Maureen Earwood
Thelma Maureen Earwood, 75, of Orange, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in Orange. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 4, 2008 in Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Saturday at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. Born on March 8, 1933 in Houston, Texas to Tillman and Thelma Daisy (Gay) Mahanay, she most recently lived in Orange and had most previously worked as a dispatcher for the Police Department in Friendswood, Texas. Mrs. Earwood enjoyed spending time with her family, arts and crafts, camping and fishing, she was a great cook, she enjoyed being by the water and she was a person who enjoyed life and its simple pleasures. Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her daughters, Deborah Wells of Austin and Pam Milligan of Orange; sons, Quentin Gordy and his wife Doni of Orange and Brian Gordy of Mauriceville; sister, Judy Moore and her husband Carol of Kerrville; grandchildren, Candace Newman, Tommy Kennelly, Angie Lawson, Rodney Wayne Gordy, Taylor Gordy, Cody Gordy and Shelby Gordy; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Taylor Gordy, Hunter Wayne Gordy, Cory Roney, Ryder Newman, Madison Leigh Kennelly and Savanna Jo Kennelly.
