The rich sound which comes out of this keyboard, made this one, my favourite. I have played some other Casio keyboards in the past, but nothing can beat this keyboard. This keyboard has 76 keys and a piano style to its credit. The look of the keyboard is amazing that one glimpse is capable enough to captivate the users.
The WK7600 keyboard brings with it 50 particularly selected drawbar organ tones, which can bring an amazing touch to the music one produces. The most difficult task of changing the settings of overtone level is perfectly managed in this product from the Casio brand. The one thing that I liked most about this professional digital keyboard is its extremely high quality sound and acoustics that border almost on perfection. I also like the fact that musicians can create truly adorable music by minutely altering the pressure applied on the 61 touchstone keys for changing the notes ever so slightly. However, what really bowled me over where the 15 Indian tones and 11 Indian rhythms inbuilt into the keyboard, which when combined with the 180 rhythms, 600 tunes can create countless musical variations. Another feature of this instrument that really impressed me, are the Pitch Blend Wheel, which makes possible to later pitch notes smoothly, for creating that perfect Indian effect.
Although I am not exactly knowledgeable about the working of musical instruments, I was told that the biggest USP of this Casio keyboard is its new sound engine. I also learnt that the engine comes with too really good creativity boosting features of audio-in and sampling. These two features help the musicians to bring in sounds from other devices and use them to compose new music. The keyboard is also known to feature the 48 note polyphone, which, I was told, helped in increasing the possibility of bringing down the dropped notes for layered tones and Auto accompaniment, by a significant margin.
Overall, I felt that CKT850IN is one of best Casio keyboards to have hit the Indian musical market in the recent years. I have tried only about 20 of the 210 Indian tones and I am super delighted with the clarity and accuracy of the exact reproduction of Indian music tones. I would have never believed if I would not have experienced it myself. Seeing is believing; and I can say that the clarity of tone reproduction is flawless. The best feature in my opinion is that it comes with 20 distinct Indian classical tones which can be mixed, combined and tweaked to create any type of music. I love this feature because it has given me wings with my composing. This keyboard is incredible.
I am so happy with the touch response keys (all 61 of them) with on this Casio keyboard because it creates the most amazing digital effects. I have not tried yet the 17 track sequencer and 32 channel mixer, but I am sure these too would exceptionally good. Also the Casio keyboard looks stunning as well.
I am a self taught musician and the one top reason why I love this brand is that it simplifies the functions while it enhances the performance. I can play anything I want in the exact manner I want and create some most incredible quality music.
I am not ashamed to tell you that I have little claim to the popularity I gained in the past 6 months as a professional digital keyboard player. I love Indian music and I am well aware that it is not easy to reproduce Indian tones, rhythms, ragas – but this Casio keyboard does it effortlessly. I simply cannot believe that it could put together 210 of the very distinct Indian rhythms; I have not even began to explore it all. I have experimented with some of them by matching, mixing, and overlapping some of them and I super like what came out of it. This keyboard does not create music – saying that would be an understatement; it creates poetry for the ears.
Indian music is very titillating and very special. It is not very easy to create in on keyboards. However, the CTK6300IN make this so difficult task seem like a child’s play. I find that even without reading the manual or asking anyone for guidance I can play on the keyboard and make it do exactly what I want. It is like this keyboard almost plays itself.
Just to convince myself that nothing can be so good I searched for some flaw - and I found NOTHING at all. It is perfect in each and every way. In fact, it is more than you can ever expect from a musical instrument its size and price range.
I love some of the very typical Indian rhythms, which I never thought could be produced on a keyboard with such clarity and perfection of tone – such as bhangra, dandya, santur, tanpura, sitar, etc, - but I found that I can do it all on this keyboard.
I have not yet gone into the recording part in detail, but from the little that I experimented with I think the 32 channel mixer is awesome. There is a feature that allows to record in real time, which is priceless. The manual says that it is the possible to record multi-track and in layers – and I am looking forward to try my hand at that. This one also has a converter – so now I can take my songs with me on my SD card.
