My Son-in-law posted this about my Granddaughter.
Victoria and I are currently unable to work right now with our 13 week son in the care of our families to be here with Hailie. She was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis (NF1) in August of 2020 and was receiving chemotherapy to fight the tumors growing behind her eyes. In April she was incorrectly diagnosed with ear infections and they weren't improving. On May 8th she was taken via emergency vehicle to Riverside Hospital in Kankakee where she was then transfered up to Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago where she has been since then. A few weeks back they then found out she has JMML (a rare form of leukemia related to the NF1). On June 6th they did an MRI and found increased swelling in her brain and the tumor on her optic nerve grew by 30%. They said they have no other treatments and all they can do is keep her comfortable. With the rate of swelling and growth, she was given days to live. Right now we are here with her, making sure she's as comfortable as possible. While we're here unable to work, our bills have been piling up and we have no income to pay them. With these donations we can pay for our expenses here at the hospital and keep up with everything at home. Thanks everyone.
