so long story short, was in this group setting. a couple asked about how to resolve their fighting over how to discipline their kids. i jumped in and said they should each write down how they felt they should discipline their kids and then go to a third person who would not take sides who could help them compromise. since most of the couples in the group only knew that i had never been pregnant, some of them took offense to what i said. honestly i have a stepson, a godson, and i raised 3 kids because their mother was in jail.
but just because they thought i had no kids or hadn't ever been pregnant that i had no room to talk. how many of ya'll parents would take offense to what i said?
A: take offense because i have no right to talk about kids at all since i haven't had any.
B: whether or not i had kids, i wasn't telling them how to discipline their kids but how to help them from fighting and i had a right to say what i did. |
