As of late I've been on a real Joy Division/Smiths (and Morrissey) kick.
Perhaps it's me feeling a bit mopey/emo or whatever the term for utter boredom/lonliness and the general blah's are.

Anyways, I'm thinking about learning how to play either the Bass or Electric guitar. Do i have any delusions that I'll be the next Peter Hook or Johnny Marr? Not at all...I just need something to occupy my time and if i can make a neat riff ...all the better.

So my musically inclined fubarians...bass guitar or electric? Pros?Cons?

For example - listen to Joy Divisions - Disorder - and how could you NOT love the bass guitar?
