Ok.. To give the background of what sent me to the hospital today...
During Mardi Gras week last year, I spent some time in the Lower 9th ward helping with the revitalization and renewal of an area totally decimated by floods and donating the proceeds of my last movie to the Common Ground Collective to support their continuing work in New Orleans.
While I was there, I was exposed to black mold, and black mold spores. When I returned home, it was found the mold had done some damage to my lungs. It took over a month before I was able to completely breath clearly again.
Now on to what happened today....
I have been working on the continuing rebuild of my house from damages sustained in a hurricane almost 4 years ago, and finally came to the point of sanding drywall in my bedroom... Note.. Drywall dust will mess with your breathing!...
Well, after 2 days of sanding, my lungs closed back up as they had from the mold exposure.
I woke up this morning, after numerous coughing spells in my sleep, and quickly realized I was only getting about 1/4 a breath... So.. That made it time for a hospital run.
Now for the good news... The Doctors says Bronchial Spasms.... over 100 bucks for the inhaler to keep my breathing in order.. But hey.. At least I won't be waking up seeing the lid of a coffin in the morning...
So.. Sorry bout your luck folks.. You get to see my ugly mug around here for a bit longer.. So whatever you do... Please stop the funeral plans... I don't plan to be in attendance (at least not laying down!!)
Just my luck.. I'm in the hospital and I lost a crush... Dang I knew I should have been keeping an eye out!
