I agreed to host a game day for a local plus sized club I belong to which will be held towards the end of next month. About 2 dozen people will be coming and I have figured out how to organize the house to accommodate for that number of people. We will be playing an assortment of board games and card games but it is mostly an icebreaker as this group only started recently.
Speaking of ice breakers, I have been trying to think of a cute way for all the people to meet each other before they split off into the different games, so please help me make up my mind about which ice breaker I should use:
a) the toilet paper game - you pass around a roll of TP and instruct each person to tear off as many sheets as he or she would normally use in a bathroom visit... then you go around the group and each person has to tell everyone as many details about themselves as the # of sheets they took
b) Human Bingo - make up a bingo card with hobbies and details about people and the group has to mingle around with each other until they get a different person to sign off on each spot on the card to win bingo
c) The Song Game - break the group into small teams and provide a word such as "Color" and each group has to generate a list of as many songs with a color in them as possible in 2 minutes and then all the groups share their lists with one another
d) other - I would love more ideas |
