| Help me on this one please. I have been following this since it happened a few weeks ago. Do players really say what they mean, when they make a statement. I am referring to Ravens' Terrell Suggs comments on a live radio show about the "bounty" that was placed on Steelers' Rashard Mendenhall and Hines Ward. The statements were made after the game had occurred and after Mendenhall suffered an injury of a broken shoulder that has put him out for the season. After it was mentioned that bounties on players are illegal, Suggs said he meant they were "marked men" and not a bounty. If he had meant to say marked men wouldn't he have only made the referene to a "bounty" once and not several times. If he had meant marked men, why would he still infer the bounty is still on Ward, to be "finished" when they play again on Dec 14th. The NFL said they have an "investigation" of the incident and if the bounty existed and was responsible for Mendenhalls' injury. They also say they are investigating whether Ward slipped through but will still be the Raven's main target on Dec. 14th. What do you think Bounty or Not? |
