It's time to allow emotional wounds to heal, to let go of excuses and stop feeling sorry for yourself. It's time to get rid the victim mentality. No body ever promised us that life would be fair. Frankly it can suck at times and incredibly difficult just to make it through the day. Quit comparing your life to someone else's, and quit dwelling on what could of been, should of been, or might have been. How do you really know what is going on in that other person's life or in there thoughts. Life is difficult for everyone, and that my friends is a fact! Quit asking questions such as, "Why this?" or Why that?" or "Why me?" Don't even ask. With so many questions we have there simply are no answers to! We all live in a society that loves to make excuses, one that is heard over and over again is "It's not my fault." The truth is, if we are bitter and angry, it's because we are allowing ourselves to remain that way. We've all had bad things happen to us throughout our lives. If you look hard enough, you can easily find reasons to have a chip on your shoulder and carry it around with you for days or even years. Anyone can make excuses and blame the past for his or her problems, or poor choices or just plain anger. Only you have the power to let it go and when it does go it's like a 25 lb. weight being dropped of your shoulders. You decide what enters your thoughts and what remains in your thoughts. Because someone plants a negative, discouraging thought in your mind doesn't mean you have to water it, nurture it, and help it grow. You can choose to dismiss it from your mind. Your mind is like a giant computer in that your brain stores every thought you've ever had. Nevertheless, because a destructive thought is stored in your mental computer does not mean you have to continually replay it. Defrag it like you would a computer. Clear and reset! Push that imaginatary button and let it go. When it comes back tell yourself it's gone and I'm not going to listen to it. I simply call it refreshing your mind. Controlling your thoughts and refusing the bad ones to stay. This can be done. Trust me on this. It truly works! Copyright: Rich R 9/25/08
