What can I say. I was born and raised up in Cornelius, Oregon. I graduated from Forest Grove High in 1984 (first class to graduate from the new High school). I then Joined the Air Force. I was stationed in Austin Texas for 5 years. Next I went to Germany for 2 years. While in Germany i went TDY(temporary duty) to Spain for 13 days. Also while in Germany I was deployed Turkey during the Gulf war (Desert Shield/Desert Storm)for 3 months. Also Deployed to to Saudi Arabia for 3 months.Next I was Stationed in Fayetteville North Carolina. While here i went TDY to Tuscan Arizona several times. Deployed to Puerto Rico 2 weeks, Saudi Arabia again(Sadam was moving troops towards Kuwait) for 2 weeks then redeployed to Kuwait. I was only in Kuwait for about 1 month and my term of service was up so went back to Fayetteville to out process. Cam home to Cornelius Oregon and moved in with my older brother. I did not have a job so could not afford to get an apartment so had 2 choices. First, I could move in with my parents till i got a job and could get my own apartment, or second move in with my Brother. What would you do. lol I also went to college and got my AAS in Architectural Drafting and Design Technology. Got a 1 year internship working as a drafter for Washington County. Unemployed for about 3-4 months then got a Job working for John Lape Architect in Portland, Oregon(now moved to Washington)for 2 years. Was laid off do to lack of work for the office. Then i was unemployed and this was around the time of the Sept. 11th attack. So unemployment got very bad here in Oregon. Oregon was the highest for unemployment. So I was unemployed for almost 3 years. Then I got blessed with my current job here at Peterson Kolberg Architects and Associates(PKA Architects for short). I have been here for over 2 years.
