If you use the Internet in the least bit, you should know this.
By now, mainstream media has started to float the term "Net Neutrality". Some people are still unclear as to what this really is. And if you don't know what it is, you need to take 5 minutes of your day to find out. I'd suggest www.savetheinternet.com (American-based, but it has a flash movie) or the Canadian version, www.neutrality.ca. Either way, same issue. To try and keep this email short, I'll just summarize it as the freedom of the Internet. Net Neutrality is a GOOD THING, and making it the law will ensure our Internet stays free and open to everyone.
The Canadian government has made it pretty clear they aren't going to care about the issue, and Canadian ISPs are winning this war. Lets raise some attention to this issue! If you don't have the time to write your MP, or raise awareness yourself, I just ask this.... Go to www.neutrality.ca. Watch the first video, it explains a lot, sign the petition. And pass this on to anyone you know. 1000 signatures doesn't seem like much, but every little bit helps.
This is important stuff people. Lets make sure our Internet remains free to everyone! (I know.. it sounds cheesy, but its the truth)
