Fatherhood

This is a Moment when I felt an obligation to share my feelings of Fatherhood.
When I was a really young man I was blessed not only to have a beautiful little girl. But She came on my birthday (19th) Greatest Present ever!!. As I watched my little Bundle of joy grow , laugh and enjoy life. I didn't know it would be cut short by inoperable Brain Cancer. At 3 1/3 Junearose had been feeling ill and We (Now ex) and I were shocked and stunned to learn our daughter had what would be months to live. She passed sadly 6 days before her 5th birthday.
Knowing our time was shorter I traveled and did things with her. I knew I'd never have this chance later. Nor to Threaten the first Boyfriend with that proverbial You Young man Best: Bring my daughter home by 10:30 or else? Yeah that convo lol ,nor would I see her marry and have little ones of her own.
She was named after the first Flower I saw on that morning at 5:09 am June 29th 1979. Wife and I had a short discussion about it. She'd asked how I came about the name.  I said she was born in June as fragile as a Morning rose. It was then agreed Junearose it would be. lol!  Those of you  that know me well Know I'm a nature kinda guy.
The memories of her growing up till this day 42 Long years ago (2021). One of her first sentences was Daddys go juice.. I still crack up thinking about it ( She loved juice and Daddy had coffee every morning and Oh have zero doubts she was all Daddys girl! lol.)
There's No doubt though gone She's absolutely the Reason I'm still kicking and doing what is loved. She's my Guardian Angel. I Know she's watching. On the day of her passing I made it My way of mourning Never to bring a child again into this world where I as a Father and Parent would have to watch as my child would go so Long before their time.
Gentlemen There's nothing in the world like being a father and a Dad. But to do both You have to want it and understand. Every day is to be treasured and looked upon as the last. Love your child (Children) hold them tight every night and let them know. That "They are Your Reasons for Loving Life". And you Are always there for them.
Rest in Peace Junearose 6/23/1979
One day Daddy will see you again
