Ok so, many people don't know that I'm very much into politics. Surprise! I watch every debate, I read up on the past of the candidates, review current issues, etc. You name it, I do it.
Why am I telling you this? Because I want your input on this election. Who do I want to be president? Barack Obama. I do not agree with everything he says, don't get me wrong, but I do prefer him over John McCain. Personally I think McCain is a pompous asshole, but hey, that's me.
I love the fact that Obama wants to do off shore drilling. It will take approximately 10 years for us to even notice a difference, but you'd be surprised at how quickly that 10 years will go. Another thing that I like about Obama is that he is intelligent. Don't get me wrong, McCain is a smart man, but he thinks that Obama is not experienced enough. Ok, well has McCain looked at his running mate lately? Two years is NOT enough experience to be a VP. Sorry. In my own opinion, intelligence comes before experience. You have to have the smarts in order to get the experience, right? For instance a doctor. You have to be intelligent enough to pass the test to become a doctor before you can even think about working and getting experience.
Another thing I like about Obama is that he is against this War in Iraq, as is most of America. McCain voted FOR the war. And what useful purpose did it serve? Oh.. hmm.. not much. President Bush wanted to finish up what his father couldn't, and he still can't. I think the US government was behind 9/11 too, but that's a whole separate issue. Anyways, would you want someone for president that WANTS a war? I sure don't.
McCain wants to tax health insurance. How the hell is that even possible? And with so many people without insurance, it's stupid. And what about the people who get health insurance through the state government (welfare)? They don't pay anything for their insurance. I admire Obama for wanting to get EVERYONE health insurance. I know a lady right now who is battling cancer with NO insurance. Can you even imagine how much money she owes? She can't help that she got the cancer. She also can't help that with today's economy she doesn't make enough money to support herself and her health care bills. What is she supposed to do? Die? I think not. McCain doesn't want health care for everyone. He has coverage, so he doesn't care about anyone else.
