After posting a mumm last night, I started chatting with someone on here about contests, and it got me thinking (not common for me----lol).
Anyway, I know that most people have contests to boost their ratings and get more points. However, I wonder how do people actually feel like a winner when comment bombing is allowed, and they spend most of their days bombing their own pictures to get ahead of the other people who are also spending most of their day bombing their own pictures, which in turn is providing a mass amount of points to the person holding the contest.
Don't get me wrong, I have been in a couple contests too and have bombed the hell out of myself, and I admit I have felt a bit of happiness when I was ahead of others in the contest even if I didn't win in the end.
So I am asking, would people rather see a contest that allowed bombing (so the contestants could get themselves ahead), or a contest that did not allow bombing (so that the comments contestants get are because the person leaving them really wanted to leave a comment)?
(I know, I shouldn't be thinking, it can be dangerous for me and boring for others) |
