I don't understand it. I just can't wrap my mind around it...What is wrong with people? Why are they so caught up in their own useless vanities? Why can't they stop, take one second of their lives to actually help someone else who needed it? If they were in that person's situation they would want and expect help as well. Hypocrites. You should not expect what you don't give. Okay. Let me explain.
I went to the local grocery store this evening to pick up some things for supper. As I approached my car, I noticed a woman. She had asked several people if she could use their cell phone. She had NOT asked for any money. The people refused her. Even glared at her. The woman was truly distraught, she was even in tears. Her car had run out of gas while she had been looking for her daughter, the police were of no help and told her that she was having a personal problem. (sidenote* The police in this town are NOT to be trusted at all. That's sad in itself.) I was using my phone, I was talking to my boyfriend, asking him if there was a different store that I could go to because this one didn't have anything I needed to cook...the woman approached me...asked to use my phone. I gladly told my boyfriend I would call him back, and let her use the phone...She called several people..of which could not be pulled away from their work to come get her...She was new to this area and only had one friend that lived nearby...I took her to the friend's house..then I took her to get gas for her car..I spent $23 on this woman. We put the gas in her car and she begged me for my phone number and my address so she could pay me back. I told her not to worry about any of that, that I didn't care about the money and I was glad to be of help...NOW. What the hell is wrong with the people of this world? Why couldn't anyone else she asked before me, help her? Because people are stupid, they are greedy and care only for themselves. HOWEVER. THAT IS NOT HOW PEOPLE SHOULD BE!!! We should delight in helping others. (Okay. Before you say anything about her scamming.) Seriously. You could tell by her expression, her story, and her appearance that she was NOT panhandling...if she had been. She wouldn't have agreed that I take her to get gas and then take her to put it in her car...I felt good that I had helped her..but then. That feeling of Euphoria was quickly overtaken by a BURNING RAGE! A burning rage at the people of this town and of other places...So I ask again. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU? YES. ALL of you. I find it so hard to understand how people can be so cold, when we were clearly not meant to be that way. If we were, then it wouldn't feel really good to help other people, knowing you were doing the right thing. So, HOW? I know why, but knowing why does not help me to understand.
This world is such a sad place. All we ever do is make it worse, no one tries to make it better for all. They only do a little, enough to make it bearable for themselves, not caring if others are hurting and suffering...Well. Perhaps those are the ones that should be hurting and suffering. Why won't anyone step up, step forward and FIGHT for a brighter tomorrow? A better world? One that isn't ruled by selfishness and greed. One where we all live together in harmony. One where we all work together and help each other. One where we are all brothers and sisters. Darkness clouds all of our minds, I'm not saying that I'm perfect. There has been a few times where I have been selfish, but. I have been trying really hard to not be.
All these things we own, computers, t.v.s, jewelry, etc. It is all vain and not even a necessity. It only helps to fuel our greed and selfishness. I know alot of you won't agree with this blog, but frankly I don't care. This is truth and only the truth can set you free.
Maybe one day you will open your eyes and see things for how they really are, perhaps you'll see yourself for what you really are. I've already seen. I don't like what I've seen so I'm fighting for a better world and to be a better person. Why won't anyone fight alongside me?
Even a single raindrop can raise the ocean.

If you fight for only yourself, you will never succeed, no matter what you do.
Open your eyes, look around, you'll see what's really going on.
