Alot of people lately have been asking me about wicca saying well isn't that devil worshiping? Lastnight I got a IM from yet another person asking me about it so just for you Mike I will try to explane it as best as I can from my point.You see there are many aspects to Wicca ...
Celtic Wicca:This tradition incorporates Celtic god/dessesand the spirituality with green witchcraft and faery magic.
Dianic Wicca:Named for the goddess Diana,this is a goddess-centered tradition and excludes gods
Faery Wicca:This is an Irish tradition,that centers on green witchcraft and faery magic
Teutonic Wicca:A Nordic tradition witchcraft,this incorporates deities,symbolism,and practices from Norse.
Family Traditions:These are the practices and traditions,usually seceret of families who have been witches for generations.
Now as for me ...My mother was a Wiccan my grandmother and so on for the past 7 or 8
we're not sure generations but I am also full Lakota so I my family had to factor that in as well the only thing I could call my self is a Wiccan Sharma
as in the Lakota and Wiccan way.So you see now that I have explaned the different typs of Wicca ( and there may be more of them ) I'll try now to tell what it is basicaly all abut.
Witches are Pagans.We worship many gods and goddess,but reconize all of them as aspects of the great goddess.Some witches worship both lord and lady.But most all ( if not all Wiccans do not belive in the devil or hell so to compair us to devil worshiping is totaly off base.
I myself was named after the goddess Deanna ( for my english name ) and see her as my Great Goddess I am a white witch as all true Wiccans are,There is nothing black or evil about true Wicca ..for me it is to be one with nature the land the sea and all the animals.
If one see's themselfs as evil then i have to think one is but not if thay truly belive in Wicca.We are all good loving fun natured people who just happen to see life in the old ways ,In the ways befor the witch trials and the burnings ( in my thoughts somting that should have never happened ) ..true Wiccans see it as harm none ,live and let live and so on ..and i know i have rattled on and I'm not too shure it this made it any clear but I hope so
I know Mabon is coming to for you who don't know it's the Autumn Equinox and a big celabration for Wiccans so in the next few days I'll see about posting some old family secrets foods and incents for everyone to injoy.....
