| My daughter hates school. She doesn't dislike it. She severely hates it, has run away from home so she didn't have to go, doesn't like the kids there, doesn't know how to tell the teachers she struggles paying attention in such a large group setting.. among other issues, even with talking to school staff, there are really no options at school that can make it a little easier for her.. so as far as I can tell, my only other option is alternative school. Small class room setting.. easier for her to focus... yada yada... what I want to know is.. how seriously you think her getting a GED instead of a highschool diploma will effect her later in life.. I know several years ago it was a big deal, but is it really such an issue now? Should I just relax and let her relax in her education? Or should I keep trying to push her through a regular public highschool? I just want her to go somewhere in life.. as we all do with our kids.. |
