I was born the youngest of 4 kids a very long time ago. I had a normal childhood except for coming down with polio at the age of three. With the help of my family, a few good doctors, and the man up stairs I pretty much got over polio and after two years went back to being a regular kid. Polio left me with a weak leg that required a brace on it for me to walk and a damaged right lung plus a few other things I will not bore you with.
I grew up on our family farm then after college I went to work for a local company as an accountant. I moved to North Carolina for ten years during the 80’s as the head accountant for a branch plant for the same company. I worked hard for the first 5 years then after getting all the systems in place I had it fairly easy the last 5 years. I retired from work in late 1989 because I was getting too weak to do the job the way it should be done. Then in February of 1990 my lung just gave out on me, as a result of havening had polio. I’ve been on the respirator ever since.
Don’t feel sorry for me though because I’ve had a great life. With the help of my Family and Friends I was able to cram a lifetime of experiences into a few years. I’d say between 18 and 34 years of age I did more than most.
I never married; never really let myself fall in love enough to marry. I always knew one day that my health would put me down and I didn’t want to burden a wife with that. I’ve been told that was the wrong way to think but it was the way I looked at it. I did have love though, and a good bit of sex a long the way. Sorry about adding that last part but you wanted to know me and that was me. Needless to say my days of bar and girl hopping has been over now for awhile, lol.
I loved the bar scene, give me a dark bar, a screw driver, with a live band playing southern rock and I was in my element.
