The next day Oy'sa woke early befor the sun and her family and apon remembering she had not gotten to bath the night befor thought she would run down to the red river befor any one was about and bath.She knew her father would be unhappy that she was up and about with no one there to watch over her but she didn't wish to disterb the others for some thing as mondane as a bath.
Oy'sa quickly ran down to the river and striped off her clothing but just as she jumped into the water's she heard a loud cack coming from the shore on the other side of the red river.
Oy'sa frightened and shaking hit the water and sank like a stone. She fought her way to the top and looked around to see if she could spy who or what had made that frighting sound.Once at the top she poked her head out and began to look all aound,not seeing anything Oy'sa began to bath as quick as she could but befor she was finished some thing grabed Oy'sa's leg and pulled her under.
Fighting for air and finaly able to see Oy'sa saw Cikala Peta climbing to the top of the water Oy'sa being anger and frightened asked what Cikala Peta thought he was doing. Trying to bath he repeated and was very angery with Oy'sa for her foolish way's.
Covering her brest's Oy'sa replied that this was their land and Cikala Peta should have asked to be here bathing.Cikala Peta began to laugh and tell Oy'sa how foolish she was being that the land was free and so where the tribe's no matter who thay here.About that time Tate Sapa ( Oy'sa fater ) came apon the seen and was very angery that he had found his child in such a way.
The whole village began to come to life and seeing what was going on Tate Sapa ask what was happining ?
He asked Cikala Peta did I not ask you speak to me first and not be alone with Oy'sa? Cikala Peta began to explane how he was at the river bathing and the young squaw jumped in not looking to see what was about.
Tate Sapa look at Oy'sa and shook his head ,Again my daughter he spoke you have jumped without looking.Tate Sapa thew his child a blanket ,By this time the whole village was looking, You displease e child with your foolish way's.
Cikala Peta please turn and Oy'sa dress and come.Oy'sa desanded the water and dressed quickly while wraped under the blanket her father had given her but as thay walked back to the village she looked back to watch Cikala Peta come from the water and smiled to herself..Tate Sapa scolding his child all the way back to the village about how foolish Oy'sa was but Oy'sa didn't mind she was too busy day dreaming of Cikala Peta and told Tate Sapa some day thay would be.
